Two Weeks Old

Today we are two weeks old. We had our first real Pediatricians appointment. They measured our heads - Waylon's is bigger by an inch - our bodies - we each grew one inch since we were born! - and weighed us.

Vladi gained 7 ounces in the past week, 5lbs 10 ounces, bringing him to two ounces shy of his birth weight. Waylon gained 3 ounces in the past week, 5 lbs 15 ounces, bringing him to 8.5 shy of his birth weight.

Vladi is catching up to his little brother!

Mom and Dad will continue to supplement our feeding with formula a few times per day until we get past our birth weight and even then may have to continue. Breast feeding two growing boys isn't an easy task - though mommy is doing her best every day.

Two weeks have flown by and at the same time seem like one continuous day. Night and day do not exist for us yet and we have sucked mommy into our timeless world. She is awake most hours of the day and what should be considered night. Daddy can sleep through the loudest screams - so far.

We have proved our dominance over Mrs. Jinx and Godzilla and they cower from us every chance they get. They are seldom in the same room as us, and when they are they approach us tentatively. Ha ha!! We rule!

We are getting better at opening our eyes and being cute. There are times throughout the day when we keep our eyes open for more than an hour at a time. Very big deal.

We are looking forward to meeting our Grandmother Adzentoivich who will be here in a few weeks to meet us for the first time. We got to hear Grandfather when he was here a few weeks ago but we were still inside mommy at the time. I guess we will have to wait until the holidays to meet him in person. We hear he is quite a character.

That's it from us today. Maybe mommy will put up some new pictures later this evening. Right now I think we will let her take a nap.
